“Slow Organ Is a Sin” Vinyl Sticker

Church music doesn’t have to be funeral music.

The one that started it all. This sticker—and thus the Young Lutherans brand—was inspired by one very somber Palm Sunday. Nothing celebrates Jesus’ triumphal entry quite like Easter hymns sung with the speed and gusto of a funeral dirge.

If your church is like many Lutheran churches, the electric organ is played only for the two most highly attended church services of the year—which are of course Christmas and Easter.

The only organ player left in the congregation is a dear old soul who surely knows not what pain she inflicts. A most special torture that even the dead are not subjected to it at funerals.

“Make a joyful noise unto the Lord, all the earth: make a loud noise, and rejoice, and sing praise.” (psalm 98:4)
